  • The project included phase II of the Critical Care Unit build-out, which upgraded 25,000 square-feet on three floors. The East Tower Nursing Unit upgrades included replacement of the patient utility management head walls; conversion of four semi-private patient rooms into four private ADA compliant rooms. The infrastructure work included mechanical, electrical, and plumbing upgrades. The Diagnostic and Treatment Building additions consisted of construction of a new pharmacy, clinic lab, and up to nine additional multi-purpose operating rooms.

  • SCS&T provided Geotechnical, Special Inspection and Materials Testing services for the Physicians Medical Office Building and Parking Structure. The new medical offices building is directly adjacent to the seven-story parking structure.

  • SCS&T provided Geotechnical, Special Inspection and Materials Testing services for this $29 million, 1,350-space high-rise parking structure for Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla.

  • SCS&T provided Special Inspection and Materials Testing services for this new 6-story, 135,800 square-foot medical office building. The project included a high-tech, fully digital imaging center, urgent and primary care facilities, and on-site ambulatory surgery. Infrastructure included in-wall conduit, medical equipment structural support, plumbing, HVAC, and medical gas running into the medical equipment. Scripps occupies the entire building, which is part of the Kilroy Realty and Reno Construction’s Innovation Center Lot II. SCS&T provided services for both projects.

  • The project is a new 315,000 square-foot hospital featuring all-private patient rooms, a new and expanded emergency and trauma center, a new surgery center and advanced medical technologies. The seven-story, 334-bed facility cost $194 million and is considered San Diego’s hospital of the future. SCS&T provided the following services:

    Geotechnical Services: Verification of Soil Conditions; Observation & Testing of Grading, Underground Utilities, and Wall Backfill; Foundation Excavation Observation

  • SCS&T provided Phase II services for this new one-story facility at UCSD Medical Center, which consists of approximately 16,295 square-feet and was constructed for the purpose of housing two new 1500 KW, 4160V generators.
