Palm Springs Airport Masterplan, Palm Springs, CA
SCS&T was contracted through the City of Palm Springs to provide professional geotechnical, special inspection, materials testing, and third party QA/QC services on Phases 1 through 3 of the Airport Masterplan in Palm Springs. Phases I and II entailed the expansion of the existing two lanes into six lanes at the security checkpoint. There was the addition of a second concourse, a new holding area for regional airlines to accommodate 7 to 12 aircraft, and an airport security wall. Phase III included improvements, modifications, and rehabilitation of the terminal complex including 6,500 square feet of new floor space.
