Sharp Memorial Hospital, San Diego, CA

The project is a new 315,000 square-foot hospital featuring all-private patient rooms, a new and expanded emergency and trauma center, a new surgery center and advanced medical technologies. The seven-story, 334-bed facility cost $194 million and is considered San Diego’s hospital of the future. SCS&T provided the following services:

Geotechnical Services: Verification of Soil Conditions; Observation & Testing of Grading, Underground Utilities, and Wall Backfill; Foundation Excavation Observation

Special Inspection & Materials Testing: Masonry, Concrete, Welding, Post-Tension Concrete, Floor Flatness Testing

Third Party QA/QC Services: Waterproofing, Roofing, Installation of Windows and Lath System
